Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Maumee, OH is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer licensed in Ohio to lead building electrical design teams. The role focuses on EOR duties, QA/QC, and high-quality coordination across disciplines for projects ranging from power distribution to lighting and life-safety systems.

Ideal candidates will have 12–15+ years of experience, strong NEC/IEEE knowledge, and proficiency in Revit, AGI Lighting, and power studies. Occasional travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 12–15+ years electrical engineering design experience for building electrical systems.
• Licensed professional engineer in Ohio is required.
• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards.
• Experience leading mid-sized and large projects; ability to travel to client locations.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for professional communications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) with peer reviews and QA/QC on projects.
• Prepare work plans and approve man-hour budgets.
• Oversee quality control/QA processes on all assigned projects.
• Participate in proposals and marketing support including business development.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Verify design compliance with local codes and provide coordinated designs.
