Job summary

47G is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in American Fork, UT to serve as the technical lead for field installation support of the Commercial & Industrial energy storage systems. You will review installation blueprints, advise on system fit for sales opportunities, and increasingly support hardware engineering for the next-gen EMS/BMS platform.

The role requires a BSEE with power systems or equivalent, 5+ years in industrial power systems, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BSEE with a power systems concentration or equivalent hands-on electrical experience.
• 5+ years with commercial/industrial electrical systems, battery energy storage, solar PV, or power electronics preferred.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, especially Article 706 (Energy Storage Systems).
• Ability to read and evaluate single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and site electrical plans.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to travel up to 25% for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for electrical issues on deployed C&I systems, including PCS inverters, BMS/EMS, wiring, and relays.
• Review installer and EPC diagrams and blueprints for code compliance and system fit.
• Diagnose field electrical issues remotely and travel on-site for escalations.
• Collaborate with Sales and Product Engineering to improve future installations.
• Support electrical design and validation for next-generation hardware platform.
• Maintain installation guides, technical bulletins, and field documentation.
