Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Associate, Electrical Engineer in Plano, TX. The role focuses on designing electrical systems for aircraft and ground stations, including wiring diagrams and panels using CAD tools.

You will lead a small design team, coordinate with multiple groups, and mentor junior engineers. A DoD-friendly clearance and U.S. citizenship are preferred, with on-site work and potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience designing and developing electrical systems for aircraft.
• Graduate degree with 0–2 years of experience designing and developing electrical systems for aircraft.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of six years of experience designing and developing electrical systems for aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Designs can include development of Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Sensor Systems, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis.
• Lead a small team of electrical design engineers to break down requirements and provide drawing status and budget estimates.
• Create and review system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, and control panels using CAD tools.
• Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to meet requirements at minimum cost.
• Train and mentor junior engineers.
