Shield AI is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, integrate, and troubleshoot electronics systems for V-BAT aircraft. You will own flight-critical avionics, drive hardware development end-to-end, and mentor teammates while ensuring designs survive harsh environments and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of industry experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Strong technical fundamentals.
• Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, circuit testing, and debugging.
• Proven record of hard work, teamwork, high standards, and kindness.

Responsibilities

• Own flight critical avionics designs for V-BAT.
• Own circuit and sub-system design for V-BAT and its support equipment.
• Lead others to execute design, verification, and manufacturing deployment.
• Provide mentorship and technical feedback to others on the power team.
• Harden designs for harsh environments such as shock/vibe, high reliability, radiation, and high-altitude.
• Full-cycle hardware development from concept to validation.
• PCB ownership: drive layout with ECAD engineers for power, EMI, thermal, manufacturability.
• Design for Safety, Manufacturability and Reliability across product lifecycle.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical, CAD, Embedded, Software, Supply Chain, Test Automation, Production.
