Job summary

Shield AI is a venture-backed defense-tech company designing a flight-critical avionics system for the X-BAT aircraft and its launch/recovery vehicle. The Senior Electrical Engineer will own part of the system design and collaborate with mechanical, embedded, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver a robust avionics solution.

Responsibilities include design, analysis, verification, integration, and manufacturing support, plus leading and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Circuit and sub-system design for X-BAT and its support equipment, including architecture, design, analysis, schematic capture, layout, verification, qualification, integration, and manufacturing.
• Work with mixed signal systems: high-speed digital, FPGA, compute, analog, power regulation, EMI/EMC, RF.
• Lead system integration, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Lead and mentor teammates across cross-functional teams.
