Job summary

Mytra is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own an electrical sub-system within our autonomous platform. You will work across design, testing, and integration with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust solutions.

You will oversee power, sensing, wireless, compute, and safety systems, guiding hardware development, supplier partnerships, and technology evaluations to differentiate our platform. On-site in Brisbane, CA with a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with hands-on hardware ownership.
• Experience shipping PCBA and hardware.
• Broad experience across analog/digital design and power systems.
• Embedded interfaces: USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, LVDS, PCIe.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and validation of an electrical sub-system within Mytra’s autonomous platform.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Translate product requirements into electrical specs and system architectures.
• Design schematics, select components, PCB layout, validation tests, and bring-up plans with firmware.
• Debug sub-system to system-level issues; perform root cause analysis and optimization.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation (bench, environmental, compliance).
• Drive DFM, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Design for deployment: SI, power, EMI/EMC, ESD, thermal, vibration, etc.
• Participate in supplier/vendor evaluations as needed.
• Ensure thorough documentation throughout development cycles.
