CONVERGIX Automation Solutions in Michigan is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex automation initiatives. This office-based, full-time role focuses on electrical design for BIW/Automotive and general automation, including panel layouts, I/O, cabling, and power distribution.

You'll collaborate across disciplines, mentor engineers, and manage design deliverables while balancing budgets and timelines. Occasional travel to NA sites and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5–7 years in electrical and automation system design.
• Experience with panel designs, PLCs, HMI, and networks.
• Familiar with UL/IEC standards and CAD drafting.
• Willing to travel within US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Manage design deliverables, timelines, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers.
• Support prototype validation and resolve design issues.
• Stay current with automation trends and standards.
• Layout electrical hardware: panels, I/O, cabling, power distribution.
• Collaborate to meet budget and timeline constraints.
