Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Digital Data Networks organization to help develop advanced optical connectivity systems powering AI, cloud computing, and hyperscale data centers. You will tackle automation, controls, high-speed electronics, and manufacturing technologies to enable production of world-class optical interconnects.

Please note: operations are currently based at a temporary site in Webster, NY.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5-8 years of experience designing electrical systems, automation equipment, control systems, or manufacturing technologies.
• Hands-on experience with industrial automation platforms, motion control systems, sensors, machine vision, robotics, or precision manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency with electrical and controls engineering design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of prototype automation and test systems from concept through production deployment.
• Develop comprehensive electrical test methodologies, failure analysis techniques, and system validation protocols.
• Collaborate with mechanical, optical, manufacturing, quality, and process development engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Create electrical schematics, control panel drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and technical documentation.
