Job summary

Red 6 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing team developing real-time hardware for an airborne AR system. You will tackle high-speed buses, FPGAs, and embedded architectures to enable flight-ready hardware with rigorous reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teammates, conduct trade studies, and guide hardware from concept to flight. A strong background in aerospace-grade electronics and DoD clearance readiness is expected.

Qualifications

• A BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in complex electrical systems for aerospace or defense.
• Experience with airborne or mission-critical systems.
• End-to-end PCBA design with CPUs/GPUs/sensors.
• Experience defining interfaces, power architectures, and test systems.
• Ability to plan, track, and communicate design work.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time hardware for airborne AR system.
• Design power systems, FPGAs, high-speed buses, embedded systems.
• Test systems to meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements.
• Develop hardware from requirements through prototype, qualification testing, manufacturing and flight.
• Make technical decisions, prototype options, and influence final design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team and improve EE standards.
