Job summary

Red 6 seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to help design next-generation real-time hardware for a groundbreaking airborne AR system. You will work on power architectures, FPGAs, high‑speed buses, and embedded compute, delivering hardware from concept through flight.

You will test and validate designs to meet stringent performance and reliability targets, collaborating with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced startup environment that aims to redefine military training realism.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5+ years developing complex electrical systems for aerospace/defense or high-reliability apps.
• Experience with complex airborne or mission-critical systems.
• Deep end-to-end experience in PCBA design including CPUs/GPUs, displays, sensors, and fiber optic comms.

Responsibilities

• Support creation of next-gen real-time hardware for airborne AR system.
• Design electrical subsystems including power, FPGA and high-speed buses.
• Test systems to ensure performance, quality, and reliability.
• Develop hardware from requirements to prototype, qualification, manufacturing and flight.
