Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical design and power electronics for next-generation electric aircraft and eVTOL projects. You will guide requirements, circuit design, EMI, and PBA development, while providing technical leadership across the program.

The role demands deep aerospace expertise, hands-on fault isolation, and the ability to drive designs from concept through PDR, integration, and testing, mentoring junior engineers along the way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or power electronics or equivalent.
• 12+ years of circuit design, integration, and test experience in aerospace.
• Experience with electrical circuit design, schematic development, and PBA/PCB design.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and fault isolation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage technical requirements using DOORS NG and IBM ELM.
• Design electrical systems, schematics, PBAs, filters, and high-power electronics.
• Perform power, filter, and circuit analysis; conduct simulations and trade studies.
• Develop EMI filters and support DO-160 lightning/environmental requirements.
• Generate PBA BOMs, support component selection, and layout integration.
• Lead, mentor, and collaborate across engineering disciplines; present PDRs.
