Job summary

Sierra Nevada Company, LLC in Lone Tree, CO is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to lead the design, development, and validation of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense projects. You will validate complex circuits, oversee testing, and ensure integration with multi-disciplinary teams. A current U.S.

security clearance is required. Responsibilities include leading circuit card assemblies where applicable, wiring design practices, and documenting test results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
• Advanced proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
• Exposure to EWIS and FMEA/SSA concepts.
• Strong understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.
• In some applications, lead development of circuit card assemblies.
• Lead implementation of electrical wiring design practices.
• Oversee the testing and validation of electronic systems and components.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and debugging of electronic circuits.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including designs, test plans, and results.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
• Participate in and lead design reviews, providing expert technical insights.
• Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering technical growth.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes.
