Description

This position offers the opportunity to work in a project team environment with engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of nuclear power plant electrical systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing engineering design change packages for equipment upgrades to ensure reliability.
• Performing detailed engineering calculations supporting design changes, such as power studies, short circuit, cable ampacity, voltage drop, breaker coordination, motor starting, and relay settings.
• Preparing and reviewing procurement specifications.
• Participating in bid evaluations and vendor communication.
• Developing scoping documents and interface with project teams and clients.
• Supporting site activities, including field walkdowns and installation support.
• Managing project scope, deliverables, and progress through meetings, reports, and tracking systems.

This position is based on a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum five years’ experience in electrical design for industrial or nuclear applications.
• Experience in equipment selection, design change packages, calculations, and specifications.
• Knowledge of electrical systems including low and medium voltage distribution.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear station.

Valued but not required: PE license, MSEE.

Compensation Range

$78,400 - $119,850
