Senior Electrical Engineer (P.E.)
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer (P.E.) looking to take a leadership role in complex, multidisciplinary projects? A well-established engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide expert-level technical guidance, oversee detailed design work, and ensure high-quality project delivery across design and construction phases.
In this role, you’ll serve as a technical leader, guiding project teams, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring that every aspect of the project meets regulatory, client, and performance standards.
What You’ll Do
- Lead electrical design and technical development for large-scale engineering projects.
- Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications that meet client and industry standards.
- Oversee integration of building systems (electrical, mechanical, structural, and environmental).
- Provide on-site technical oversight during construction and review submittals for accuracy.
- Mentor and support junior engineers in professional and technical growth.
- Conduct quality reviews at project milestones to ensure precision and compliance.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams for seamless project execution.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and apply innovative solutions to design challenges.
What You Bring
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or related Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering design and project management.
- Strong background in MEP and Fire Protection systems.
- Proficiency with engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams and engage clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience serving as the Engineer of Record (EOR) and leading large or technically complex projects requiring professional engineering oversight.
- In-depth knowledge of construction administration, QA/QC procedures, and the ability to stamp, review, and approve engineering documents in compliance with state PE requirements.
- Proven track record managing PE-level responsibilities to deliver stamped designs and project deliverables on schedule and within budget.
