Ellsworth Corporation in Sparks, NV is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer to create and review electrical drawings, develop manufacturing processes, and optimize equipment requirements for on-site operations.

You will document PLC logic, apply UL 508A practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Occasional travel is required; lifting up to 50 lbs. SolidWorks certification and a engineering degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineering-related function.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• SolidWorks certifications preferred.
• EIT or PE Electrical and Computer certs preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electronics components and assemblies.
• Experience implementing UL 508A.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel.
• Occasional travel up to 10%.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsabilités

• Creates, reviews and updates documentation including schematics, drawings, models, bill of materials, quotes and engineering summaries utilizing CAD Systems and ERP software
• Prepares and completes accurate product documentation (i.e., manuals, work instructions, assembly instructions, data sheets, etc.).
• Develops and refines Electrical Manufacturing processes
• Conducts assigned projects ensuring that work is completed within budgetary and time constraints while meeting customer and contractual demands
• Documents and maintains PLC logic for new and existing machines
• Identifies and implements best Electrical Engineering practices from across the dispensing equipment and automation industry utilizing UL 508A

You will be creating electrical drawing packages and developing new Electrical Manufacturing processes, as well as optimizing current processes, and creating and reviewing equipment requirements while driving problem-solving and continuous improvement actions.

Qualifications

• 5 + years of experience in a Electrical Engineering-related function
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college in Engineering or related field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Certifications in SolidWorks (i.e., CSWA, CSWP, CSWE, CPPA, etc), preferred
• Engineering in Training (EIT) or Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Electrical and Computer: Electronics, Controls, and Communications Certificate, preferred
• Analytical thinking and problem solving
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload
• Ability to influence and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams
• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments
• Strong knowledge of electronics components and electronic assemblies
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel
• Detailed-oriented
• Proven ability to identify and recommend Electrical Engineering improvements
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing UL 508A
• Occasional International/Domestic travel up to 10%
• Ability to lift 25 Pounds, on occasion up to 50 Pounds
