Senior Electrical Engineer – Satellite Systems

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the development of next‑generation satellite systems. This role is ideal for a highly experienced hardware engineer with deep expertise in electronics design, digital system debugging, and power electronics who enjoys staying hands‑on while helping guide technical direction across complex spacecraft programs.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop reliable, flight‑ready hardware while supporting junior engineers through technical mentorship, reviews, and collaborative problem‑solving. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to cutting‑edge spacecraft development in a fast‑paced and highly collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with electrical engineering teams across hardware design, debugging, and system integration activities
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers through design reviews, troubleshooting support, and hands‑on problem solving
- Review schematics, support board bring‑up activities, and debug complex hardware systems in laboratory environments
- Debug and validate digital systems including logic‑level circuits, microcontrollers, and embedded interfaces
- Support power electronics development, including DC/DC converters, power distribution systems, and power integrity analysis
- Troubleshoot and validate serial communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and Ethernet
- Define and maintain engineering standards, validation methodologies, and hardware test processes
- Partner closely with software, systems, mechanical, and integration teams to deliver flight‑ready spacecraft hardware
- Support system integration, hardware validation, and issue resolution throughout development and test campaigns
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- 8–12+ years of experience in hardware development and electrical system design
- Strong hands‑on experience debugging electronics, including digital systems and power electronics
- Proficiency with PCB design and schematic tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent platforms
- Solid understanding of serial communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and Ethernet
- Experience working with laboratory debug equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and work across multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing spacecraft, aerospace, or other high‑reliability hardware systems
- Familiarity with environmental testing including vibration, thermal, EMI/EMC, and qualification testing
- Knowledge of design‑for‑test (DFT), fault‑tolerant systems, or radiation‑tolerant electronics
- Experience supporting hardware integration and system‑level validation activities
