Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer at Equiliem Staffing Services Inc

Job Description:

The Senior Electrical Engineer, under general guidance, directs or performs specific engineering assignments of various sizes and complexities within their field of expertise. Responsibilities include coordinating efforts among architects, engineers, users, and consultants. The engineer establishes design criteria, ensures the accuracy of drawings, approves field design changes, and represents the section to resolve issues and coordinate work. The goal is to maintain in-house mechanical engineering expertise for efficient response to normal, emergency, and critical projects.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer projects supporting the Capital and Operations & Maintenance budgets for facilities, including buildings and yards of Service Centers and Commercial Buildings.
• Provide engineering support for various electrical systems in commercial buildings and yards, such as low and medium voltage switchgear, emergency generators, and uninterruptible power supplies.
• Review and approve contractor designs, calculations, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electric Code, NYS & NYC Building Codes, and NFPA.
• Perform breaker coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, cable/conduit sizing, and lighting calculations.
• Select appropriate electrical equipment.

Qualifications:

• Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred Education/Experience: Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.
