Job summary

MEP Building Systems in Boston / MetroWest is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead building systems design for projects across New England. You will be a licensed PE providing technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across disciplines.

You will design and deliver electrical systems for commercial, municipal, healthcare, industrial, and institutional facilities and play a key role throughout project delivery with client interaction and presentation of solutions.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of electrical building systems design experience.
• PE license required.
• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering tools.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and energy efficiency.
• Leadership, mentoring, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems design.
• Prepare load calculations, equipment sizing, one line diagrams, and drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and project teams.
• Oversee construction administration including site visits and reviews.
• Perform QA/QC to maintain technical excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical decisions.
• Interact with clients and present solutions.
