Job summary

TYG partnered with an established East Coast engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Los Angeles office. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering coordinated building systems, technology, lighting and commissioning, while taking ownership of technical design and project management milestones.

The role combines technical design with client engagement and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer licence is required.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Proficient in electrical system design and spatial coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical engineering assignments, plan delivery schedules and coordinate deliverables to meet project deadlines.
• Develop electrical system concepts into detailed layouts, calculations, drawings and construction documentation using Revit.
• Contribute to proposals and maintain productive relationships with clients.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers and the wider design team to resolve technical issues and spatial constraints.
• Review equipment specifications, product information and vendor requirements to support design decisions.
• Prepare preliminary layouts for discussion with project leadership and communicate potential problems early.
• Participate in client, vendor and internal coordination meetings.
• Visit project sites to assess existing conditions and verify information needed for design.
• Maintain organised technical records, calculations and project correspondence.

What you’ll bring
