Job description

Description
Company:

At Arrive AI (Nasdaq: ARAI), we're not just building products—we're transforming the future of the Autonomous Last Mile™ (ALM). Over a decade ago, we started with a pioneering vision and patents for the first smart mailbox for drone delivery. Through systematic research, development, and deep customer collaboration, we've evolved to today where we deploy Arrive Points—a type of smart locker and mini-cross-docks for frictionless drone, robotic, and courier delivery and pickup, utilized from medical supplies to meals to e-commerce. Arrive AI is now growing and investing to scale an ALM network and platform of the future for all autonomous delivery providers, services, and customers. Arrive AI is the intelligent choice for the last inch of the Autonomous Last Mile™.

AboutUs:

We move fast, balancing strategy with opportunity. We are merit-based, valuing integrity, innovation, and treating others as we want to be treated. At Arrive AI, every employee is an equity holder and a business owner. Our shared vision, ownership, and culture fuel our mission to revolutionize autonomous delivery.

ProductTeam:

You’llbe joining Arrive AI’s Product Team to revolutionize Autonomous Last Mile (ALM) logisticsby transforming over a decade of research, design, and customer collaboration into the world’s first autonomous logisticsnetwork and platform. Our fast-paced skunkworks team rapidly iterates, prototypes, and develops next-generation Arrive Point units, networks, and AI-powered platforms. By integrating cutting-edge hardware, robotics, IoT, software, data, AI, and manufacturing,we’redriving a bold roadmap for ALM innovation. Based in Fishers, IN, we offer a unique opportunity to do your life’s best work, shape the future, and share inthe success.

The Role:

We’reseeking a Senior Electrical Engineerto lead the design, development, and integration of electrical systemsfor Arrive Points. This role spans power management, actuator control, sensor integration, and IoT connectivity, creating robust and manufacturable electrical systems that will support AI-enabledlogisticsdevicesfor years to come. You’llwork closely with mechanical, robotics, and systems engineers while taking the lead on electrical system architecture decisions—especially around actuators, sensors, and advanced multi-zone control schemes.

What You'll Do:
  • Design Electrical Circuits: Create schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring architectures for power distribution, actuator control, and sensor networks.
  • Build Custom Control Hardware: Design and bring up custom control boards and breakout boards that tie together microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and power systems for Arrive Points.
  • Develop Embedded Firmware: Write, test, and maintain C/C++ firmware on STM32 microcontrollers, including peripheral drivers, communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN), real-time control loops, and low-power operating modes.
  • Integrate Motion Control: Select, integrate, and configure off-the-shelf motion controllers and motor drivers, and build the electrical and firmware interfaces that connect them to the broader system.
  • Design Wiring Harnesses: Specify, document, and build custom wiring harnesses, including connector selection, wire gauge, routing, strain relief, and harness drawings suitable for manufacturing.
  • Integrate Components: Engineer how actuators, sensors, and controllers fit into larger system architectures for Arrive Points.
  • Validate Designs Early: Use ECAD, circuit simulation (e.g., SPICE), and bench prototypes to validate and iterate designs before committing to builds, accelerating development and reducing costly revisions.
  • Prototype & Test: Build and iterate circuit boards and subsystems, validating performance, safety, and manufacturability.
  • Optimize Power Efficiency: Design battery systems, power control circuits, and energy management solutions for low-power, always-on devices, in both hardware and firmware.
  • Support Robotics Interfaces: Ensure Arrive Points' electrical systems interface seamlessly with robotic systems and control architectures.
  • Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Rapidly debug hardware, firmware, and harness issues across prototyping and production, ensuring reliable field performance.
