Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in the Durham, NC area to lead advanced product development. Candidates must have 10+ years of hands-on experience in electrical/electronic systems, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and expert Altium Designer skills for schematic capture and PCB layout.

This role requires strong problem solving, independent work, and the ability to collaborate across departments to deliver robust hardware solutions from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of electrical/electronic product development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Advanced Altium Designer experience for schematic capture and PCB design
• Circuit design and analysis, including analog, digital, power, and mixed-signal circuitry
• Power distribution, power electronics, and PCB layout experience
• Hands-on hardware integration, testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis
• Design verification and validation experience and understanding of product lifecycle processes
• Experience creating and reviewing engineering documentation and technical specifications
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
