Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design, development, testing, and certification of new and existing electronic products. This role combines hands‑on engineering, embedded systems development, product validation, failure analysis, and manufacturing support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical design, embedded firmware, PCB development, and product lifecycle management within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of new electronic products from concept through production release
- Design digital and analog circuits, develop embedded firmware, and create supporting engineering documentation
- Build prototypes, perform debugging and validation testing, and qualify products for production
- Develop and execute product testing plans to evaluate performance, quality, reliability, and compliance requirements
- Conduct field failure investigations and root cause analysis to improve product reliability and performance
- Research and evaluate new technologies, components, and design methodologies to support future product development
- Support manufacturing operations by resolving production yield issues and evaluating alternative components for cost and supply chain optimization
- Perform long‑term reliability testing, life‑cycle analysis, and data logging studies
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, certification, and product safety requirements
- Provide technical support and training to customers, internal teams, and business stakeholders as needed
- Participate in product roadmap discussions, competitive analysis, product teardowns, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Track project milestones, communicate status updates, and support cross‑functional project execution
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and leadership teams to ensure successful product launches
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 8–10 years of electrical engineering experience within a manufacturing or product development environment
- Strong experience designing analog and digital circuits
- Proven expertise in embedded firmware development and real‑time control systems
- Experience utilizing laboratory and test equipment, including oscilloscopes, waveform generators, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and related diagnostic tools
- Strong knowledge of circuit design, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Experience with PCB design and circuit simulation tools such as SPICE
- Advanced programming experience with:
- C/C++ for embedded and real‑time control applications
- Python for data analysis, automation, data logging, and GUI development
- SQL and database management
- Experience with embedded platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of product testing, validation, and certification processes
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Self‑motivated with a high level of attention to detail
