Job summary

EXP Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager in Denver, CO to lead nationwide projects across Hospitality, Luxury Residential, Entertainment, Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors.

The role requires extensive electrical design experience, ABET-accredited degree, and a PE license in Colorado. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for mentorship and career growth.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• 10+ years electrical design experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer in State of Denver.
• 7+ years hospitality facility, Healthcare and Life Sciences design.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and qualify RFP/RFQ for go/no go potential.
• Direct and lead submittals in response to RFP/RFQ's.
• Manage existing and develop new client relationships.
• Lead and review design to meet codes and quality levels.
• Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
• Coordinate with project team and clients to meet milestones.
• Apply risk management daily to minimize cost and exposure.
• Understand MEP/FP SD, DD, CD scope and deliver appropriate documentation.
• Coordinate with disciplines (MEP/FP, architectural, structural).
• Edit and develop scope of work narratives and equipment room sizing during SD/DD phases.
• Provide QA/QC guidance to designers.

EXPis currently searching for aProject Manager/Senior Electrical Engineerfor our Denver, Colorado office. This position will lead exciting projects across the United States for Hospitality/Luxury Residential, Entertainment, Healthcare and Life Sciences.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Identify, research, and qualify RFP/ RFQ’s and upcoming projects for go/no go potential
• Direct and lead submittals in response to RFP/ RFQ’s.
• Manage existing and develop new client relationships
• Perform at a ‘responsible charge’ level; meeting exp’s design and quality levels
• Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours
• Work with project team and clients to meet scheduled project milestones on multiple projects
• Apply risk management procedures daily to minimize exp’s and client’s exposure to problems
• Understand MEP/FP work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan
• Understand proper scope of MEP/FP SD, DD, CD level documents – and deliver appropriate documentation
• Coordinates with other disciplines (MEP/FP, architectural, structural, etc)
• Edit and develop scope of work narratives (SD narrative, basis of design, etc)
• Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases
• Thorough knowledge of Electrical codes
• Be able to direct and mentor designer level staff on all of their responsibilities on a daily basis
• QA/QC reviews of all calculations by designers, and provide guidance and mentoring

The Skills and Knowledge You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 10+ years Electrical design experience
• Registered Professional Engineer in State of Denver required.
• 7+ years of hospitality facility, Healthcare and Life Sciences or Hospitality design

The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
