HEAPY is seeking a senior level Electrical Engineer to join our Colleague First culture preferably in our Dayton, OH office location. This colleague independently performs a variety of assignments involving the application of standard electrical design engineering techniques for all project types including very large, highly involved projects. The incumbent must be capable of exercising independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to make minor design adaptations and modifications. Provides leadership for 2 to 4 Design Engineer / Designer I & II colleagues in terms of both technical career development as well as project specific direction and oversight.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position normally requires a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program and typically 10+ years’ related experience (or equivalent working knowledge/experience/advanced degree in engineering) related to Electrical engineering systems in the Built Environment. This includes considerable experience in utilizing various computer software packages and automated electrical engineering and design equipment. An incumbent in this position should be in possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) Registration and provide direct oversight and responsible charge over projects for which they are involved. Other relevant engineering education and credentials are typically desired such as but not limited to: USGBC LEED GA, IESNA, ASPE, ASHRAE HFDP or HBDP.
