Job summary

RNInk is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer to join our architectural/engineering team in a hybrid role. You will design power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for labs, schools, universities, and commercial facilities, guiding them from early design through construction.

You will collaborate with architects and other engineers, produce construction documents, and coordinate with utilities and contractors while supporting projects through construction administration.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years building electrical design experience.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of building and electrical codes.

Our client is an employee-owned architecture and engineering firm. Their architects, interior designers, civil engineers, and building systems engineers work in the same firm and on the same project teams. Their work covers higher education, K-12, life sciences, technology, government, and workplace projects. They are adding a mid-level electrical engineer to their engineering group.

The role

The Electrical Engineer handles the electrical design on labs, schools and universities, and commercial and institutional buildings, from early design through construction.

The position can be based in the firm's Cambridge, MA, Providence, RI, or Manchester, NH office, with a hybrid schedule.

What you would be doing

• Designing power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for buildings
• Producing construction documents and running the supporting calculations
• Coordinating with the architects and other engineers on the project team
• Working with utilities and contractors
• Supporting projects through construction administration

What we are looking for

• Degree in electrical engineering
