Koch is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer who will serve as a technical resource for complex engineering challenges and collaborate to develop electrical drawing packages for energy projects. Job description

DEPCOM has an immediate need for a Sr. Electrical Engineer.

The position is flexible and can be located from Bedminster, NJ; Scottsdale, AZ; or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Resource: Act as the team's escalation point for complex or ambiguous engineering challenges— from unusual fault conditions and non-standard equipment integration to design scenarios that require first-principles analysis.
• Develop Electrical Drawing Packages: Collaborate with team members to create comprehensive electrical drawing packages for PV and energy storage projects from initial design through issue for construction (IFC).
• Champion Technical Excellence: Bring a critical and experienced eye to deliverables, actively strengthening them in collaboration with the team. Use depth of knowledge to identify what others might miss and drive solutions that raise the bar without sacrificing schedule.
• Contract Scope of Work: Review and author contract scopes of work, providing technical input to accurately define deliverables, boundaries of responsibility, and project requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, design standards, and documentation practices; develop and implement repeatable processes that increase team efficiency and deliverable quality.
• Cost/Benefit Analyses: Perform analyses for various installation architectures, grounding schemes, and major equipment.
• Client and Stakeholder Interface: Engage with clients and other stakeholders to support the design and delivery of power plants. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a passion to understand the why behind problems and designs.
• Travel: Travel up to 25% to job sites and office locations as required.

Compensation

Salary range: $120,000–$150,000 per year. Eligible for variable pay.
