Job description

Big Projects. Small Team. Serious Engineering.

Looking for an R&D role where you can actually own designs, influence products and see your ideas become real hardware?

We’re hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a small, highly collaborative R&D team in Austin working on an exciting pipeline of new technology and product development projects.

This isn't a huge engineering department where you own one tiny piece of the puzzle. You'll work across projects, collaborate closely with other disciplines and have real involvement from early concept and architecture through prototype, validation, certification and production.

The technology you help develop will ultimately support critical environments including data centers, energy infrastructure, industrial automation, manufacturing and other mission-critical applications worldwide.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Take ownership of electronic hardware development from concept to production

  • Design and develop analog, digital and mixed-signal electronics

  • Work on sensing, monitoring, control, communications and power electronics

  • Drive PCB design, including schematics, layout reviews and manufacturing readiness

  • Get hands-on with prototyping, bring-up, testing, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis

  • Work closely with firmware, manufacturing, quality and compliance teams

  • Help solve complex engineering challenges and influence the direction of future products

  • Mentor other engineers and help shape engineering standards and best practices

What We're Looking For:

You’ll ideally bring:

  • 5+ years developing commercial electronic products

  • PCB and schematic design experience

  • Good grounding in analog and mixed-signal circuit design

  • Experience with signal conditioning, sensing and/or power electronics

  • Hands-on hardware debugging and laboratory testing experience

  • Knowledge of EMC, electrical isolation, thermal management and reliability

  • Exposure to embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

Experience within industrial, energy, automation, transportation or mission-critical technology would be a bonus.

Why This One:

  • Small R&D team where your contribution will genuinely be noticed

  • Lots of exciting projects rather than maintaining the same product forever

  • Genuine opportunity to influence product design and technical direction

  • Hands-on engineering covering the full product development lifecycle

  • Work on technology destined for critical applications around the world

  • Strong opportunities for technical development and career progression

  • Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits and retirement savings opportunities

If you're an Electrical Engineer who enjoys building things, solving difficult problems and having genuine ownership of your work, this could be a seriously exciting next move.
