Job summary

Guernsey, based in Oklahoma City, seeks a Senior Electrical Distribution Engineer (PE) to lead planning, design, and execution of distribution projects and to mentor junior staff, while managing client relationships.

You will oversee design work, ensure compliance with industry standards, and contribute to developing technical standards. This is a leadership role requiring PE licensure and 5–10+ years in utility distribution.

Qualifications

• ABET Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
• 5-10+ years of experience in electrical distribution planning and design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience working with electric utilities, cooperatives, or similar clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead distribution planning and design from conceptual through commissioning.
• Perform protection coordination, system modeling, and arc flash analyses.
• Provide technical reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate with design/staking sub-consultants and client meetings.
