KDM Engineering is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer in Chicago to lead and coordinate electric distribution designs for a growing, diverse practice. The role emphasizes QA/QC reviews, mentoring engineers, and delivering client-focused solutions for utility projects.

The position requires a strong background in distribution design, 8+ years of experience (preferably with PPL Electric Utilities), and a drive to uphold high standards of safety and quality across all work products.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in Distribution Design.
• P.E. preferred.
• Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads projects and project teams in mid-to-large scale distribution designs.
• Performs QA/QC design reviews for project documents.
• Mentors project team members and provides technical guidance.
• Interacts with clients and internal teams to coordinate activities.
