A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to support long-term federal and industrial projects in Ogden, UT. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience, particularly with SmartPlant 3D, and will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D electrical designs, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. This position offers a long-term contract with full coverage for travel, food, and lodging.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Designer.
• Strong hands-on experience with SmartPlant 3D.
• Experience supporting industrial, utility, nuclear, or large infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Ogden, UT.
• Willingness to work 100% onsite in Ogden, UT.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D electrical drawings using AutoCAD and SmartSketch.
• Design cable tray, conduit, duct banks, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
• Prepare bills of materials and installation details.
• Coordinate with engineering and design teams across disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and applicable industry standards.
