Job summary

Henderson Engineers in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer/Designer to lead complex building-system projects for mission-critical and data-center clients, from concept through construction.

You will direct design documents, layouts, schematics, and specifications; mentor junior engineers; and coordinate with clients and project teams to deliver safe, reliable, and code-compliant systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (electrical, mechanical, fire protection, or architectural).
• 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred, required for EOR's.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design from concept through completion for complex or large-scale projects.
• Direct or oversee the preparation of design documents, system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Develop solutions to advanced and highly complex engineering problems, providing discipline-wide technical guidance.
• Serve as a mentor and coach across teams and practices, including supervising less experienced designers and engineers.
• Participate in staffing recommendations, training initiatives, and technical strategy development.
• Provide quality oversight, including conducting and/or issuing final quality reviews to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
• Communicate with clients, resolve conflicts, and provide leadership in responding to technical questions or design challenges.
• Lead or support strategic business development efforts and maintain key client and partner relationships.
• Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned, ensuring technical accuracy, accountability, and adherence to professional standards.
