Job summary

INTERMOUNTAIN ELECTRONICS INC is seeking an Electrical Designer to document electrical designs for projects using AutoCAD Electric and related software. You will read markings, reference docs, and product knowledge to update or create electrical power and control drawings under guidance from engineers and senior designers.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or CAD Design and at least four years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Create electrical design drawings using AutoCAD Electric.
• Update drawings from marked prints and reference documents.
• Manage BOMs and parts with procurement to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of NEC and IEEE standards; apply safely.

Responsibilities

• Document electrical designs using AutoCAD Electric and related software.
• Update instrumentation and control drawings under guidance.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and procurement to meet deadlines.
• Submit designs that comply with NEC/IEEE standards and safety rules.
• Assist/guide junior designers and CAD drafters as needed.
