Job summary

Intermountain Electronics, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer I for our Denver facility. The role focuses on creating and documenting electrical designs under the guidance of senior engineers, using AutoCAD Electric and related software.

The position requires reading electrical drawings, performing basic load calculations, and contributing to P&ID updates, while working a 40-hour week from 8am–4:30pm on the Day Shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an associate degree in electrical technology with 1–3 years of experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics, and interpret technical specifications.
• Knowledge of NEC/IEEE standards, safety rules, and problem-solving in electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Create electrical design drawings using AutoCAD Electric.
• Support load calculations and update P&ID diagrams with guidance.
• Program PLCs and HMIs with supervision from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and drafters to solve design challenges.
