Job summary

Worley is seeking a Principal Electrical Designer in Monrovia, CA to deliver detailed electrical design drawings and support the project team from a technical perspective.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years of electrical design experience, proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and 3D CAD software, and a strong NEC knowledge base. This onsite role may require travel to vendor facilities and offers benefits such as PTO and 401k.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering/Design/Drafting or related field.
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of the NEC.

Responsibilities

• Work scheduling and project planning.
• Preparation of engineering drawings and documentation.
• Respond to technical queries.
• Interpretation and interfacing of third-party design documents into project design.
• Training and supervision of junior staff members.
• Check drawings and documentation are fit for the purpose and conform to the project execution plan.
• Check materials and equipment for conformity with specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation or construction.
