Job summary

Dürr Systems USA is seeking an Electrical Designer to develop electrical drawings and documentation for complex industrial automation projects. You will work closely with Electrical Project Engineers to create accurate designs from concept to commissioning.

The role requires 5+ years of electrical design experience, hands-on EPLAN expertise, and the ability to produce schematics, BOMs, and layouts that meet project schedules.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD, Electrical Design, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience.
• Hands-on experience with EPLAN (required).
• AutoCAD experience preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Experience creating electrical schematics, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with mechanical layouts, detail drawings, and basic piping concepts.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical schematics, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and system drawings using EPLAN.
• Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to develop complete system designs.
• Produce electrical drawings, BOMs, and project documentation within established schedules.
• Collaborate with Electrical Project Engineers to develop electrical layouts, schematics, and final engineering documentation.
• Participate in design review meetings and incorporate engineering feedback; coordinate with engineering, estimating, contractors, suppliers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain drawing revisions, document control, and engineering archives.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering standards and documentation.
