Job summary

CMTA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Senior Associate to lead electrical design on diverse projects and manage client interfaces. The role emphasizes senior design leadership, budget oversight, and delivering complete design packages across multiple phases.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 13+ years in MEP design, and strong project management skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT is essential, with PE considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering required; PE highly preferred.
• 13+ years of design experience as an Electrical Engineer in MEP.
• 6+ years of Project Management experience preferred.
• Experience leading projects and budgeting/proposals.
• Mentoring engineers and providing design direction.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and drawings.
• AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Focus on client interactions and meeting the client’s expectations for electrical projects.
• Be responsible for all facets of product delivery to clients and accountable for client satisfaction.
• Lead the planning, interpreting, organizing, scheduling, and managing projects through all phases of development.
• Establish and monitor the budget, manage the project team, and prepare schedules.
• Oversee design development, production of working drawings, and construction administration.
• Maintain an overview of the project team’s workload and commitments to meet deadlines.
• Act as Senior Designer on projects when necessary; lead 1-2 direct reports.
