Job summary

CMTA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Associate to design electrical systems and own the internal growth of various projects, serving as a subject matter expert in daily design activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 5–9 years in the MEP space, and proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT; PE is highly preferred. The position offers a competitive salary and a growth-focused culture within Legence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering required; PE highly preferred.
• 5–9 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years in the MEP space.
• Expert knowledge of building codes and standards, engineering drafting standards, electrical engineering standards, and other trades.
• AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Produce complete electrical systems design drawings in accordance with the code.
• Collaborate in solving a variety of complex engineering problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
• Organize technical and financial proposals for new work.
• Keep senior staff informed of important and relevant service/design decisions to ensure the objectives of the client are achieved.
• Establish a strong relationship with the design team.
• Responding to RFIs and communicating information accurately and in a timely manner.
