Job summary

TAPP Workforce Solutions Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Building & Construction Design to lead complex electrical design projects end-to-end, from concept through permit to construction.

This role will mentor engineers and CAD drafters while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced consulting environment. You will own electrical design production, guide post-design activities through construction completion, and serve as the primary liaison between the design

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in electrical engineering design.
A 4-year degree in Engineering.
Expert knowledge of building codes and drafting practices.

Responsibilities

Own the production of electrical design elements and construction documents for projects from concept through permitting.
Guide projects through post-design activities, including punch lists, all the way to construction completion.
Serve as a mentor to less experienced electrical engineers and CAD drafters, helping them grow their skills and confidence.
Manage project timelines and act as the primary point of communication between the design team and clients.
Advise on schedules, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, and code compliance to keep projects on track.
Prepare complete and accurate engineering specifications within project scope and budget.
Partner with colleagues across disciplines to identify process improvements and efficiencies.
