Job summary
CDM Smith seeks an Electrical Design Engineer 5 to design electrical master plans, power systems, and sustainability projects. You’ll lead design efforts, perform system studies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet client needs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- PE license required or in process.
- 7 years of relevant experience in electrical design.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical master plans, power systems, and related designs.
- Perform power system studies, calculations, and layouts.
- Conduct site reviews and adjust criteria as needed.
- Contribute to TKMs with technical papers and case studies.
- Prepare and submit designs for publication in journals.
- Collaborate with sales to respond to client requests.
- Meet clients to understand design needs and propose solutions.
- Attend conferences to expand technical expertise.
- Provide mentoring to junior staff.
- Review and supervise project work of juniors.
- Perform other duties as required.
