Job summary

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Gilbert, AZ to lead electrical design for data center products including AHU, CDU, and modular data centers. You will guide technical discussions, ensure compliance with NEC/CEC, and mentor junior engineers.

You will work with cross-functional teams to develop SOPs, test devices, and optimize designs for manufacturability and performance.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Degree and PE in Arizona.
• 8+ years in low/medium voltage electrical design/drafting.
• Familiar with NEC/CEC/UL/CSA standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to Gilbert, AZ facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design leadership for electrical systems in AHU, CDU, and MDC projects.
• Develop and test electrical equipment per client specs.
• Create and review schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Perform MCA, MOP calculations and circuit loading.
• Lead cross-functional coordination and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure code compliance with Silent-Aire standards and industry codes.
• Document BOMs, design submittals, and SOPs; mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with QA, manufacturing, procurement, and R&D teams.
