This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within SLAC's Facilities and Operations Division, which manages one of the world's premier science facilities for the Department of Energy. The Electrical Power Department (EPD) is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer responsible for electrical power systems development for SLAC Facility Engineering.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and support for electrical power systems, including development, construction, and modifications.
• Providing technical expertise and recommendations across disciplines.
• Resolving complex technical issues with high visibility or risk.
• Participating in major projects, ensuring conformance with standards and codes.
• Conducting electrical system studies and analyses.
• Developing electrical distribution, emergency, and standby power system designs.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and managing project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; five years of relevant experience; Master's preferred.
• California PE registration or EIT with the ability to obtain PE within a year.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects.
• Deep knowledge of electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, EMTP).
• Strong communication skills and project management proficiency.
