Job summary

Aegis Search is seeking a senior digital design engineer to own board‑level designs from concept through production in our Herndon, VA office. You'll lead schematic capture, simulation and layout, and take boards from idea to fully bring‑up.

This role offers ownership in a growing R&D team with a significant pipeline of work and influence over development processes. Requires 7+ years in board‑level electrical design and DDR3/4, PCIe, SerDes, or gigabit Ethernet expertise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of board level electrical design experience.
• Experience with DDR3/4, PCIe, SerDes, gigabit Ethernet, or similar technology.
• Experience designing CPU, FPGA, or microcontroller-based boards.

Job description

Be the person who owns the board - not just a part of it. From concept through to production.

You'll be the senior digital design engineer in a R&D team, taking board level designs all the way from concept to production. You'll be doing everything from schematic design, simulation and analysis, PCB layout, and full board bring up - you'll be given full ownership.

There's also a real opportunity to lead here. This a senior seat on a team that is growing steadily and has a large amount of pipelined work - you'll have a genuine say in how things are done, rather than having to follow someone else's guidelines.

The base salary for this role is in the range of $160k - $180k, depending on experience. The role is based full time on site in the Herndon, Virginia area.
