Job summary

Aegis Search is seeking a senior digital design engineer to own board‑level designs from concept through production in our Herndon, VA office. You'll lead schematic capture, simulation and layout, and take boards from idea to fully bring‑up.

This role offers ownership in a growing R&D team with a significant pipeline of work and influence over development processes. Requires 7+ years in board‑level electrical design and DDR3/4, PCIe, SerDes, or gigabit Ethernet expertise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of board level electrical design experience.
• Experience with DDR3/4, PCIe, SerDes, gigabit Ethernet, or similar technology.
• Experience designing CPU, FPGA, or microcontroller-based boards.

Responsibilities

• Take digital and high speed boards through from concept to production.
• Own the schematic capture, analysis, and PCB layout.
• Design the hardware around CPUs, FPGAs and microcontrollers.
• Drive the board through bring up and validation.
