Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) seeks a senior electrical architect to define and evolve the electrical infrastructure for its data centers, enabling AI and cloud workloads.

You will lead global MV/LV distribution design, drive reliability and cost efficiency, with oversight from concept through commissioning.

Collaborate with top OEMs and internal stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient electrical systems for OCI’s expanding footprint.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in electrical power systems for mission-critical facilities or utilities.
• Proven delivery of MV/LV distribution for large-scale data centers.
• Proficiency with power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, harmonics), protection coordination, and relay testing.
• Demonstrated vendor/OEM network; experience leading RFx, technical evaluations, and commissioning.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions through data.

Responsibilities

• Architecture and standards: Develop MV/LV distribution reference architectures globally for OCI.
• Establish standards for electrical equipment: generators, switchgear, UPS topologies, and BESS integration.
• Ensure designs meet reliability goals (N+1/2N) and fault tolerance requirements.
• Drive innovation in electrical design for higher reliability and faster construction.
• Design, delivery, and operations: Provide technical leadership from concept to commissioning (L1–L5).
• Develop strategic level one-line diagrams, protection standards, SCADA/EMS architectures, and equipment specifications.
• Efficiency and cost optimization: Drive TCO reductions via optimized topologies and demand charge reduction.
• Vendor and industry engagement: Lead RFIs/RFPs and technical evaluations for OEMs and EPCs.
• Track standards and build adoption roadmaps.
