Keville Enterprises, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Cost Estimator with a strong emphasis on electrical systems to support owners’ representative services for diverse public infrastructure projects.

This remote position requires expertise in Power Distribution, OCS, DC traction, signals, communications, safety, and process controls. The ideal candidate will develop independent cost estimates across design phases, review change orders, and collaborate with project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on electrical systems.
• Experience with infrastructure projects (transit, bridges, highways, rail).
• Ability to develop independent cost estimates and analyze change orders and claims.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is required.
• Proficiency with laptops/desktops, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Experience reading construction plans and developing crews, equipment, and production rates.
• Familiarity with estimating software (Sage Estimating or HCSS Heavy Bid) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop independent cost estimates (ICE) at various design stages (conceptual, preliminary, final).
• Prepare and review cost estimates for change orders and claims analysis.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to validate cost assumptions.
• Utilize estimating software to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
• Maintain knowledge of industry pricing, labor rates, and market trends.
• Provide expert input on risk assessment and value engineering opportunities.
