Job summary

ADP in South Holland, IL is seeking a Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, and support electrical equipment and industrial control systems across multiple food manufacturing facilities.

You will program PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and instrumentation, lead projects from concept to completion, ensure safety compliance, mentor staff, and provide 24/7 issue resolution to keep production running.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably electrical, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of controls engineering experience in manufacturing settings.
• 5-7 years of experience programming PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMIs.
• Experience with AB PLCs (Controllogix, SLC500) and PLC networks.
• Field experience with instrumentation and final control elements.
• Knowledge of 3-phase 480V power distribution, NEC/NFPA 70E, PPE.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support electrical equipment and control systems.
• Program PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and instrumentation devices.
• Lead projects from concept to completion with budgets and schedules.
• Ensure safety policies and equipment standards are followed.
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance.
• Mentor engineering and maintenance staff.
