Job summary

ABTech Inc. is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to drive electrical design for motion systems and support on-site production. You will develop schematics, panels, BOMs, and test procedures while optimizing components for reliability and performance.

You will troubleshoot complex systems, maintain PLC programs, and collaborate with purchasing and electro-mechanical teams to ensure milestones are met. A focus on continuous improvement and accurate documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical controls design of motion systems.
• Electrical or Electromechanical degree preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of NFPA safety regulations, UL & CE documentation requirements.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Self-starter who enjoys product development and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical schematics, panel design, BOMs, work instructions, and electrical test procedures.
• Investigate, evaluate, select, implement and troubleshoot electrical components to meet customer expectations and schedule.
• Provide technical support to purchasing for procurement of electrical components.
• Act as engineering resource for electro-mechanical assemblers.
• Understand, modify and maintain PLC programs and related software for motion control suppliers.
• Manage inventory of electronic test equipment for testing and troubleshooting.
