Job summary

Compu Dynamics Modular is seeking a Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer in Chantilly, VA. You will lead the electrical and controls design for modular data centers and commercial products, creating robust schematics, load lists, and BOMs while guiding junior engineers.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, vendors, and clients, ensuring NEC compliance, best practices, and scalable solutions. Strong leadership and communication are essential for this critical role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering with emphasis on commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Expert-level understanding of power distribution, control systems, and electrical code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and controls system design for modular product development (commercial and data center).
• Develop and review one-line diagrams, schematics, load lists and Bills of Materials.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure constructible designs and production alignment.
• Develop PLC and HMI based environmental monitoring systems from hardware to software.
• Provide mentoring and technical leadership to junior engineers and designers.
