Job summary

SJE, a family of brands, seeks a Sr. Electrical/Control System Engineer to support the Revere brand at our Birmingham, Alabama location.

The role involves designing, testing, implementing, and delivering control systems and projects on schedule and within budget, including panel design, hardware selection, programming, and field startups. You will lead technical design, mentor teammates, coordinate with vendors and customers, perform analyses, and ensure conformance to standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10–15 years of related work experience.
• Professional Engineer License desired.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers, vendors and team.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels and systems to meet project specifications and division design standards.
• Coordinate with panel production personnel in fabrication of control panels.
• Develop PLC and HMI applications per project specifications across platforms.
• Specialize in sophisticated process control system solutions.
• Manage multiple large projects following company procedures and guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to others.
