Job summary

SJE Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Sr. Electrical/Control System Engineer to support our Revere brand. This role designs, tests, and implements control systems for complex projects, including panel design, hardware selection, programming, testing, and site support.

You will lead project execution with minimal supervision, mentor team members, coordinate with vendors and end users, and ensure solutions meet safety and performance standards across industrial markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electrical Engg or Computer Eng. from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license is desirable but not mandatory.
• Proven ability to lead projects with minimal supervision and deliver on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels and systems per project specs and standards.
• Lead design, testing, and commissioning of PLC/HMI projects across platforms.
• Coordinate with panel production, vendors, and end users throughout projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Engineering and Field Service staff.
